Ameci Pizza Kitchen® and its successful pizza franchise program was created by Nicola (Nick) Andrisano after growing up and working in his father's Italian pizza restaurant that was started in 1931 in New York City. Quality and authentic family recipes are the heritage of this award winning, Fast Casual Italian restaurant. No national pizza chain short cuts in quality are allowed in this true New York Italian classic.

The vast majority of all the menu items are hand made with huge portions of TLC to ensure a quality dining experience. The proprietary, New York style pizza crust is made fresh daily and hand tossed just like Nicola's grandmother use to do. Without a doubt; this is a sit-down, high-quality, white table cloth caliber restaurant where this level of quality and value are unique in today's fast-food dominated, chain pizza business. At Ameci Pizza Kitchen® (APK), fresh-pack tomato sauces are slow cooked everyday and used on all pizzas and many pasta dishes. All APK pizzas and pastas are made with whole milk, Wisconsin Mozzarella or Italian style Provolone cheeses. The expansive menu has specialty pasta dishes, New York style pizzas and subs, garden fresh salads with gourmet dressings, and a variety of appetizers all made from scratch.

In 1979 a young Nick Andrisano decided to move to Los Angeles and introduce his family's authentic Italian recipes to the Southern CA market. By the early 1980's Nick and his partner and fellow restauranteur Angelo Falato began to open multiple locations as well as initiate a pizza franchise program. In a short few years there were 42 Ameci Pizza & Pasta® restaurants in operation. Some of these operations have dining rooms and table service but the majority are smaller restaurants that have limited seating and are primarily delivery and carry-out operations.
